Hello again everyone. In this writing, I am going to talk about egalitarianism as a philosophical term of equality in humanity within both genders (male and female, I am not mentioning transsexual as a gender), religious views (even if you are an atheist), economic status and political beliefs. I am writing this since I believe it is more important and acceptable than feminism (which draws a lot of pros and cons).
Egalitarianism (which word came from the French égal, meaning “equal”) is the philosophical term for egalitarian which means equality in humanity. In the previous paragraph, I mentioned that egalitarianism is much better than feminism. Let me elaborate why I said so. In terms of equality, egalitarianism is further equal than feminism since it is considering the same status of many, regardless of gender, religion, politics, social and economic statuses. However, promoting feminism draws a lot of attention, both pros and cons, which may lead to further imbalance in equality.
On the other hand, egalitarianism is considered opposed to meritocracy. In terms of merits, people should be rewarded when they gain their achievements. However, egalitarianism means that humans should receive equal treatment, regardless of their background, which could create dilemmatic condition for some if being misunderstood.
Therefore, I believe that the understanding of equality itself could create better and equal treatment on humanity. There is no need for a group of people to promote the goodness of their side, as it could lead the lust of more and more power instead of equality. I also want you to remember Gandhi, one of India’s national heroes in humanity and freedom, ever told us not to lose any hope in humanity itself.
